LITHIUM: SQM inks large-scale lithium deal with LG Energy Solutions
Chile’s Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM) announced on Tuesday a long-term agreement to supply lithium products to LG Energy Solutions (LGES), the newly created battery unit of LG Chem.
The undisclosed deal covers the supply of around 55,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent, running from 2021 to 2029. SQM will deliver LGES with battery grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide for the production of “high-quality” cathode …
