Siemens launches new conversion system for battery storage
German industrial conglomerate Siemens has launched a new power conversion system for battery storage applications using liquid cooling, Kallanish reports.
The so-called Sinamics PCS system makes locally generated battery power usable for industrial and public power grids. It controls the charging and discharging process of the battery and helps to handle load peaks and grid disturbances via the battery storage, Siemens claims.
