SAIC-GM starts building third Ultium gigafactory in Shandong
SAIC-GM announced the construction of its third Ultium gigafactory has started at the Dongyue production base in Yantai City, Shandong Province, Kallanish reports.
Mass production is expected to officially start in the first half of 2025. The factory will provide strong support for the high-quality production of the batteries and electric systems of the Ultium platform. Yet, production capacity details remain unknown.
