Saia signs LOI to acquire 100 BEV trucks from Nikola
Georgia-based Saia LTL Freight says it has signed a letter of intent to purchase or lease 100 Nikola Tre heavy-duty battery electric vehicles (BEV), Kallanish reports.
The companies must complete a satisfactory demonstration programme before the acquisitions will proceed. In that programme, three BEV trucks from Nikola will be operated in separate locations across the Saia network to test the electric trucks. It is expected to begin in the first half of 2022.…
