Rolls-Royce, easyJet to demonstrate hydrogen combustion engines
Rolls-Royce and low-cost airline easyJet are moving from a market research collaboration in 2021 into a new project to demonstrate hydrogen’s potential in aviation, Kallanish reports.
The companies have partnered to form the so-called H2ZERO project, aimed at showcasing the role of hydrogen in a range of aircraft from mid-2030s. The partnership will kick-start with ground tests later this year in the UK.
