Renault's new Mégane E-Tech features thinnest battery on the market
Renault said Monday its new Renault Mégane E-Tech electric model features the thinnest battery on the market and a new optimised engine that does not require rare earth metals, Kallanish reports.
The battery has been significantly slimmed down reaching 110 millimetres allowing for more vehicle space. With a weigh of 395 kilograms, it has a 1,960-millimetre length and 1,450mm width. It is also markedly smaller than the ZOE battery, the company says.
