RARE EARTH: NioCorp testing grinding ore from Nebraska site
Colorado-based NioCorp Developments Ltd says it has begun testing ore grinding from its Elk Creek Superalloy Materials Project in southeast Nebraska, Kallanish reports.
It is using a high-pressure grinding rolls technology that is an energy-efficient and low-emission alternative for reducing the size of the ore to enable recovery of niobrium, scandium, titanium and potential rare earth elements.
