Porsche heads up $400m funding in lithium-silicon battery start-up
German high-performance carmaker Porsche has led a $400 million funding round for US battery technology start-up Group14 Technologies, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed investment via Porsche Ventures will give the company and its subsidiary Cellforce Group access to Group14’s lithium-silicon battery materials. Cellforce Group is set to produce high-performance lithium-silicon battery cells for Porsche BEVs, in south Germany from 2024.
