Pilbara Minerals sells possibly last spot cargo this year
Australian miner Pilbara Minerals has sold what it expects to be the last spot spodumene concentrate sale this year based on its forecast production volumes, Kallanish learns.
The company confirmed it accepted an offer on 14 March for a spodumene concentrate cargo ahead of an auction planned for 18 March on its BMX digital auction platform. The undisclosed buyer purchased 5,000 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of lithium concentrate at 5% lithia for $1,106/dmt cif China. …
