COPPER: Pebble Partnership asks federal court for speedy EPA review
The two companies behind the stalled Pebble copper-molybdenum-gold-silver-rhenium mine in southwest Alaska are asking a federal court to impose a schedule to force the US Environmental Protection Agency to make a prompt decision on whether to withdraw or finalise a decision on the agency’s proposed water-quality determination that could permanently block the mine.
