Panasonic plans 10% output boost at Tesla's Nevada gigafactory
Panasonic is planning to increase the production of electric vehicle batteries by 10% at its Nevada factory jointly operated by Tesla.
According to a presentation for a business strategy meeting last week seen by Kallanish, Panasonic Energy is planning to boost lithium-ion battery production capacity by 10% by the fiscal year 2026. Production volume at the gigafactory has already grown by 5%.
