Panama seeks to finalise contract with First Quantum Minerals by 14 Deccember
The government of Panama is urging Canada-based First Quantum Minerals to finalise a contract extension by 14 December that would allow the company to keep operating its flagship Cobre Panama copper-gold mine in the Central American country, Kallanish reports.
The parties had reached a basic agreement last January, although the deal has not yet been officially completed.
