Ottawa expected to pass ZEV regulations
Ottawa is set to unveil new zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) regulations this week, according to multiple media reports citing a senior government official.
Under these regulations, termed the “Electric Vehicle Availability Standard,” all new passenger cars sold in the Canadian province must be ZEVs by 2035. Furthermore, ZEVs must also represent 20% of new car sales by 2026, rising to 60% of sales by 2030.
