Novatek mulls hydrogen export plant in Yamal
Russia’s largest independent natural gas producer Novatek is reportedly planning to build a hydrogen plant at its Yamal LNG complex in the Arctic, with a view to export to Europe and Asia.
The goal is to ship both blue and green hydrogen, the latter would rely on wind energy to power an electrolyser. Novatek would build wind farms in Yamal, Gydan, the Murmansk region and Kamchatka.
