Nissan set to announce major investment in its UK plant
Japanese carmaker Nissan is set to announce on Friday it will manufacture future electric versions of its two best-selling cars in its Sunderland plant, in a potential £1 billion ($1.25 billion) investment boost in the UK.
The car factory in the North East of England launched production of the all-electric Nissan Leaf in 2013 and started building electrified Qashqai and Juke models last year.
