Nissan sees profits dive 67% in June-quarter
Japanese carmaker Nissan said Thursday its profit plunged 67.4% last quarter in a tougher-than-expected business environment, Kallanish reports.
Net income was reported at JPY 47.1 billion ($349.5 million), compared with JPY 114.5 billion in the April-June quarter last year. A revenue surge of 129.1% to JPY 2.13 trillion, combined with financial discipline and cost control, helped the company to offset market headwinds.
