Nickel prices to double in 2022, while copper remains more stable
Nickel prices are set to more than double next year and continue the growth pattern well into 2025, analysts at Jefferies said in a report on Thursday.
According to the last price forecast signed by Christopher LaFemima and his team, nickel prices are now trading on the spot market at $8.94/pound, which is double the estimated average price for 2021 at $4.20/lb. Next year, the base metal price is set to increase 120.23% to around $9.25/lb.
