NICKEL, COPPER, COBALT, MANGANESE: Ocean-floor miner begins public trading
The Metals Company and the Texas-based Sustainable Opportunities Acquisition Corp say they have completed their business combination and the Metals Company is trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as it goes public, Kallanish reports.
The merged company intends to mine the ocean floor for unattached polymetallic seafloor nodules for electric vehicle battery materials, with production expected on its Pacific Ocean holdings in 2024.
