NICKEL, COPPER, COBALT: Companies test underwater nodule-collection vehicle
The Metals Company and partner Allseas Group say that a pilot robotic nodule-collection vehicle was successfully tested in a Dutch harbour, Kallanish reports.
The vehicle was deployed from the Hidden Gem, the joint venture’s collection ship, and lowered to the harbour floor in the port of Rotterdam in the initial wet-test commissioning of the underwater vehicle.
