NICKEL: BHP Group makes CAD 325m offer for Noront Resources
Australia-based mining giant BHP Group says it has made a takeover bid of CAD 325 million ($259m) for Canada’s Noront Resources, a cash-strapped nickel miner, as BHP expands its green metals operations for electric vehicle batteries, Kallanish reports.
BHP’s cash offer of CAD 0.55/share for issued and outstanding shares came from subsidiary BHP Western Mining Resources International Pty Ltd.
