NASA eying mining operations on Moon within 10 years
The US space agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), plans to operate a lunar mining operation within 10 years as part of its Artemis missions to the Moon, Kallanish reports.
Oxygen and water would initially be produced by a lunar processing plant, says NASA scientist Gerald Sanders who was speaking at a mining conference in Australia. Iron and rare earths would be targeted later.
