Manz to deliver initial production equipment to Britishvolt
German engineering company Manz will supply UK’s battery start-up Britishvolt with lithium-ion cell assembly equipment for its first phase production line, Kallanish reports.
The companies announced the €70 million ($79m) contract on Tuesday. The order includes machines for assembling cylindrical cells, which will be delivered in 2023, enabling Britishvolt to start production in Q4 2023.
