LITHIUM: UK’s Cornish Lithium to start first DLE trial this week
Cornish Lithium said Monday it will start its first direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology trial on 9 June at its United Downs Geothermal Water test site in Cornwall, Kallanish reports.
The site houses the company’s first demonstration plant to test “environmentally-responsible” processes to extract lithium from geothermal waters. Cornish Lithium selected Geolith and Precision Periodic as the first suppliers of the DLE tech.
