LITHIUM: SQM speeds up expansion project on soaring EV demand
Lithium mining giant SQM is accelerating its capacity expansion project in Chile to meet soaring demand from the electric vehicles sector, Kallanish learns from the company.
Ceo Ricardo Ramos said in the company’s first-quarter earnings statement that the expansion plans are “moving ahead of schedule, and as a result, we expect sales volumes to surpass 85,000 tonnes of lithium products this year.”
