LITHIUM: Sibanye-Stillwater invests in Finland lithium project
Sibanye-Stillwater Ltd is diversifying into battery materials with a EUR 40 million ($47.5m) investment agreement with Keliber Oy and its lithium project in Finland, Kallanish reports.
Sibanye-Stillwater, the South African-based precious metals miner, will make an initial equity investment of EUR 30m for about a 30% stake in Keliber. An additional EUR 10 million equity issuance will be offered to existing Keliber shareholders.
