LITHIUM, NICKEL, COBALT: Johnson Matthey, Stena Recycling partner on battery recycling
UK chemical and sustainable technologies company Johnson Matthey (JM) is partnering with Sweden’s Stena Recycling Group to close the loop in lithium-ion battery recycling, Kallanish reports.
The firms inked a memorandum of understanding late last month with a view to develop an efficient value chain in Europe for recycling of lithium-ion batteries and cell manufacturing materials. These include critical metals such as lithium, nickel and cobalt.
