LITHIUM: Galvanic Energy pursuing lithium in southern Arkansas brine
Oklahoma-based Galvanic Energy LLC reports that it has secured a 40,368-hectare footprint in southern Arkansas for lithium brine and bromine extraction, Kallanish reports.
The land is in a continuous trend overlying the Smackover Formation with enriched concentrations of lithium and bromine dissolved in brine. That provides a significant addition to the domestic inventory of economically recoverable lithium for battery production, says the privately held company.
