LITHIUM: Eramet, Tsingshan to resume building Argentina production plant
French mining company Eramet is restarting construction of its lithium production plant in northwest Argentina through a new partnership with Chinese steel group Tsingshan, Kallanish reports.
Construction on the plant, designed to produce 24,000 tonnes/year of lithium, will start in first quarter 2022 with commissioning scheduled for early 2024. Eramet will control 50.1% of the project and operational control. Tsingshan will finance the plant construction in excha…
