LITHIUM: China to create salt-lake industrial base in Qinghai
China’s Qinghai province is working to build a “world-class” salt-lake industrial base, promoting low-carbon development of lithium brine deposits and enhancing the country's international influence over the battery raw material.
An action plan was unanimously approved by an expert committee in a meeting in Beijing on 20 May, the Qinghai Institute of Salt Lakes, part of the Chinese Academy of Science, announced on Friday.
