LG Chem’s batteries face scrutiny following new EV recall
The world’s largest car battery supplier, LG Chem, is facing renewed troubles with General Motors announcing the recall of nearly 69,000 electric vehicles (EVs) using its batteries.
LG Chem’s shares prices dropped 3.97% on Monday following GM/Chevrolet’s voluntary safety recall announcement on 13 November. Some 68,677 Bolt EVs manufactured between 2017 and 2019 have been recalled worldwide due to a fire risk, Kallanish reports.
