LG Chem, KEMCO to collaborate on battery material recycling

South Korean LG Chem has signed a contract of establishing a joint venture for precursor-related recycling business with the leading smelting enterprise Korea Zinc's nickel-sulfate-focused subsidiary Korea Energy Materials Company (KEMCO) at Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, the head office of Korea Zinc.  According to LG Chem's press release on 2 June, they plan to invest about KRW 200 billion ($159.26) by 2024 to build the plant at the Onsan Industria…
