Leasing companies overcharge BEV buyers, harm transition: T&E
European campaign group Transport & Environment (T&E) says leasing companies are overcharging electric car drivers with outdated deals and assumptions, Kallanish learns.
Citing an analysis of 2.7 million car prices in Europe, the group says BEV leasing offers in the region are on average 57% more expensive than their equivalent petrol models. This equates to an additional €233 ($247)/month and €8,370 over a 36-month contract.
