Kamaz starts new e-bus production in Moscow
Russian truckmaker Kamaz opened this week a plant to produce electric buses in Moscow. The facility is located at the Sokolniky Car Repair and Construction Plant (SVARZ), a branch of state-owned firm Mosgortrans.
One of the workshops of SVARZ was modernised for the assembly of up to 500 electric buses per year, Kallanish reports. At a second stage, one more workshop will switch to assembly, producing another 200 e-buses per year from 2023 onwards.
