Italy's new car market rises 19% in 2023
Italy’s new car market increased 19% in 2023 to around 1.56 million units, but carmaker association Anfia warns the volume is still 18.3% lower than in 2019.
At the end of 2022, the country’s car fleet had an average of 12 years and 6 months, with over half of it formed by pre-Euro 5 standard cars. The association says that to renew the fleet, the country should be selling 1.8 million new cars, Kallanish reports.
