Iberdrola opens Europe’s largest electrolyser for industry use
Spanish utility Iberdrola commissioned on Friday the Puertollano green hydrogen plant – the largest electrolyser for industrial use in Europe, Kallanish reports.
The 20-megawatt PEM electrolyser installed by Norway’s Nel will produce 3,000 tonnes/year to supply Fertiberia’s fertiliser production. The €150 million ($156.2m) project also includes a 100-MW solar photovoltaic plant equipped with a 20-MW battery storage system.
