Hyundai to adopt Tesla’s charging standard in North America
Hyundai Motor is joining Tesla and a number of other carmakers operating in the region in adopting the North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports in its EVs in the US and Canada.
The North American branch of the South Korean carmaker announced on Thursday that all-new or “refreshed” Hyundai EVs will come exclusively with a Tesla-developed port in the US from Q4 2024. The timeframe for Canada is H1 2025, Kallanish learns.
