Hyundai, Kia invest in AI semiconductor firm Tenstorrent
South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group plans to invest $50 million in Toronto-based artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor company Tenstorrent, Kallanish reports.
The investment will be split between the group’s car brands Hyundai Motor and Kia. The former will invest $30m and the latter $20m. The funds are expected to support Tenstorrent’s design and development of AI chiplets and its machine learning (ML) software roadmap.
