Honda to kick-start tests on autonomous mobility service in Japan
Honda will commence this month a test programme of its planned autonomous vehicle mobility service (MaaS) in Japan, Kallanish reports.
The manufacturer said on 8 September tests will start with a high-definition mapping of the area, which will then be used on public road tests. These are slated to begin in 2022, when the autonomous vehicle Cruise AV will be adapted to the traffic environment and Japanese regulations.
