Honda, GS Yuasa eye EV lithium-ion battery JV
Japanese carmaker Honda and its compatriot battery manufacturer GS Yuasa announced Monday an initial agreement to collaborate on EV lithium-ion batteries, Kallanish reports.
The companies are planning to establish a joint venture by year-end to produce “high-capacity, high-output” batteries. The partnership will also seek to build a supply chain for key raw materials and a “highly-efficient” battery production system.
