Honda enters Tesla-FCA emissions pooling in Europe
Japanese carmaker Honda has joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in a European CO2 pool to benefit from Tesla’s zero emission CO2 balance and avoid fines, Kallanish reports.
Under EU regulation, car manufacturers must meet targets to reduce the average emissions of the cars they sell in Europe or pay fines. Tesla, which has already reached its binding targets, reached an agreement with FCA last year to pool their sales in Europe.
