Honda, CATL ink 123 GWh battery supply deal
Chinese battery giant CATL and Japanese carmaker Honda announced on Thursday a 123-gigawatt-hour battery supply deal, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed contract will cover deliveries of lithium-ion batteries for Honda’s all-electric vehicles in China from 2024 until 2030. The batteries will be produced at CATL’s production base in Yichun, in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangxi.
