Hitachi Energy acquires Powin’s eks Energy, enters partnership
Switzerland’s Hitachi Energy has entered into a strategic alliance with Powin, a US-based energy storage platform provider.
Through the partnership, Hitachi Energy will take majority ownership in Spain’s eks Energy (EKS), which Powin purchased in September 2022. EKS is a power conversion system manufacturer and supplies energy management solutions, some of which have supported Powin’s grid-scale energy storage efforts.
