HEVs lead EU new car market in April
EU new car buyers have favoured hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in April, with the powertrain leading electric vehicle registrations in the bloc, Kallanish reports.
Data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) shows HEV registrations rose 33.1% on-year last month to 265,992 units. In addition to the largest sales growth, HEVs also gained market share, reaching 29.1% from 24.9% in April 2023.
