Hertz Lithium licenses lithium extraction tech from Penn State
Hertz Lithium, a Vancouver-based mineral exploration company, has agreed to license lithium extraction technology from the Penn State Research Foundation (PSRF).
The PSRF patent-pending technology focuses on extracting lithium from hard rock sources, such as spodumene. According to Hertz, typical extraction technologies cannot leach lithium from alpha-spodumene, which is how the mineral occurs in nature.
