GRAPHITE: Quebec approves Nouveau Monde mine construction
The Canadian province of Quebec is authorising construction of Nouveau Monde’s Matawinie graphite mine, Kallanish reports.
The environmental decree authorises a production level of 100,000 tonnes/year of high-purity graphite concentrate for electric vehicle batteries and renewable energy storage systems. The ministerial decree also provides the company with operational criteria and final design parameters to launch construction activities.
