GM seeks to build second US battery plant
General Motors is mulling a second battery plant in the US, Kallanish learns from a company representative.
"General Motors and LG Energy Solution, via the Ultium Cells LLC joint venture, are exploring the feasibility of constructing a second, state of the art battery cell manufacturing plant in the United States," the representative confirms.
A tentative decision could come as soon as the first half of this year, he adds.
