Global EV sales could hit 16.7 million units in 2024: BNEF
Global sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) could nab a 20% market share in 2024, according to forecasts from BloombergNEF.
That translates to 16.7 million vehicles, Kallanish notes, with 70% of those being all-electric. If these sales are actualised, it would be a roughly 4% increase over 2023, which saw EVs make up roughly 17% of global vehicle sales.
