Global EV penetration to reach 10.3% this year: Rystad

New electric vehicles sales are set to more than double this year to a record of 7 million cars worldwide, according to analysts at Norway’s Rystad Energy. The consultancy company forecasts battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in electric vehicles (PHEVs) will account for 1 in 10 new car sales in 2021.
