COPPER: Global copper prices to rise 5.5% in 2021: Cochilco
Chile’s state copper commission, Cochilco, forecasts a 5.5% increase in copper prices in 2021 on the back of optimistic expectations coming from China, Kallanish reports.
The estimate is that copper prices average $2.90/pound next year, compared to an average of $2.75/lb in 2020, says Baldo Prokurica, Chilean mining minister, in a statement.
