LITHIUM: Galaxy Resources signs offtake deal with Chinese lithium producer
Australia-based Galaxy Resources says it has signed an offtake agreement with Sichuan Chengtun Lithium for 6% lithium dioxide spodumene concentrate from its Mt. Cattlin mine in southwestern Australia, Kallanish reports.
The Chinese company, a subsidiary of the Chengxin Lithium Group, will buy at least 60,000 dry tonnes/year under the three-year deal. The deal will support the production of lithium salts used in the EV vehicles. The deal will begin in January 2021.…
